The Guard Barracks in Høvelte is a good example of how modern stormwater solutions can make a difference in the fight against climate change and more frequent extreme weather. As the area experiences increasing amounts of precipitation, it became crucial to find a solution that could handle large amounts of stormwater locally, reduce the pressure on the surrounding sewer system and reduce the risk of flooding.
Here, infiltration was chosen as a central solution. By allowing rainwater to seep directly into the ground rather than directing it to the drainage systems, you can effectively reduce the risk of flooding and reduce the load on the sewer systems.
We are proud to be able to contribute to this important project and support more efficient and future-proof rainwater management at the Guard Barracks.
