This personal data policy is designed to meet the need for protection and proper processing of all personal data that we receive.
1. What personal data is collected and processed?
Watercare needs a number of personal data in order to send you our newsletters, including articles about cleaning and handling surface water.
The following information may be collected and processed when you choose to receive newsletters and articles from us: Email address, first and last name, title, company name, address, telephone number, technical details (IP addresses included) and any other data that may be necessary to send you newsletters.
2. When is data about you collected and used?
We collect information about you:
- When you sign up for online marketing materials (including newsletters
including receiving articles and offers).
WaterCare only collects the personal data that is necessary to be able to
send you newsletters electronically or by physical mail.
WaterCare does not collect and/or purchase personal data from third parties.
3. How do we protect your information?
Our website is continuously scanned for security flaws and weaknesses, so that we
can rule out potential data leaks as quickly as possible and thus make our
website as secure as possible. It is also regularly scanned for malware.
Your personal information is stored on secured networks and can only be accessed by a few employees.
4. To whom do we disclose personal data?
Personal information provided to Watercare is only disclosed to:
- Internal employees
- Data processors for marketing purposes (marketing on e.g. web,
social media, newsletters and article distribution).
We cooperate with the following data processors: LinkedIn & Facebook, Mailchimp and Google Analytics, with whom we have entered into data processing agreements to ensure that your personal data is handled and stored properly, and so that no unauthorized third parties have access to your personal data. All of our data processors comply with the EU's GDPR of May 25, 2018.

If at any time you wish to unsubscribe from our newsletters and articles, you can follow the instructions at the bottom of the newsletter, where there is always an option to unsubscribe from our newsletters. However, if you have problems unsubscribing, you can always unsubscribe by contacting us directly.

5. How long is your personal data stored?
Data relating to our newsletter is stored for as long as you wish to receive it.

6. What happens in the event of a data leak?
We take security breaches and data leaks very seriously. If we suspect a data leak from Watercare or external data processors, we will take action to protect our customers and users as best as possible.
This includes, among other things, identifying the extent of the potential damage, notification to potentially affected customers and users, notification to the Danish Data Protection Authority, and actions to try to contain the extent of the damage.

7. How do you access your data?
You can always change your information used to send newsletters and articles. You do this at the bottom of the email with newsletters and articles.
You can always be informed about what data we have registered about you, and if you wish this, please contact us at kontakt@watercare.dk . You can also always request that your personal data be deleted. If you wish all data to be deleted, please also contact us at kontakt@watercare.dk .
When you unsubscribe from newsletters and articles from, all commitments you have made to us will be deleted. These cannot be recreated, and if you at any time wish to see what we have previously sent you, previous offers or similar, we would like to point out that these cannot be recreated.

8. Information about the use of cookies
Watercare uses Google Analytics to collect visitor statistics and in this connection passes on IP addresses to Google Analytics.
There is no personal information in the cookies, neither your email address, your user ID or other information. We use cookies, among other things, to customize our website according to your interests, to keep demographic and user-related statistics and to save your password so that you do not have to type it every time you want to log in.
A cookie has an expiration date, meaning that it will be automatically deleted from your computer at a certain time. The lifespan of cookies can vary, depending on what the individual providers have set them to. Some cookies disappear as soon as you close the browser window, while others can exist for several years. Most providers use a 12 or 24 month lifespan for their advertising, statistics and content-related cookies. Please note that the lifespan is extended after each visit. Third-party cookies are used to create statistics on your visits to the website. Here we use cookies to know which pages you visit and how long you spend on them. We use Google Analytics for this purpose.
The website uses the free solution of Google Analytics. When statistical data is sent to Google from the website, no personally sensitive information is sent, such as social security number, IP address, name, address, etc. Instead, normal traffic data is sent, such as the time and which page you are on.
