An underground stormwater infiltration tunnel is a high-capacity solution for stormwater and surface water management—especially in areas with recurring flooding, heavy rainfall, and high runoff volumes.
Its parabolic design delivers exceptional load-bearing capacity, helping the system withstand demanding ground and traffic loads while providing a robust, long-lasting drainage and infiltration solution.
Modular infiltration tunnel units make it easy to build a site-specific stormwater system.

Faskine tunnel or rainwater cassette?
When rainwater or surface water needs to be handled either with a delay, for infiltration or purification, a fascine or rainwater cassettes are used where there are no other solutions. The two different structures, which can both be used as a LAR solution (Local Drainage of Rainwater), have the same purpose, but there is a difference in their structure and function. While the cassettes are more space-efficient, and therefore often preferred for smaller projects, fascine tunnels are robust and durable structures that are particularly useful for larger projects that, among other things, require the handling of large volumes of water.
An effective and simple LAR solution
The fascines from Watercare constitute both a simple and relatively low-cost LAR solution that effectively solves various challenges with rainwater and surface water, even outside the established sewer system, which opens up a wide range of application possibilities in many different areas. The tunnels, which, among other things, when installed with the correct terrain structure, can withstand heavy traffic loads, are constructed in modules of end and middle pieces and, despite their enormous strength, are a fairly light product in terms of weight and are relatively easy to transport. In connection with transport, it is thus possible to stack the different modules, thereby saving a lot of time and transport costs, which only underlines the efficiency of the solution.
The advantage of modules
Our fascine tunnel presents a completely new way of constructing fascines. In the construction of this type of solution for handling rainwater and surface water, we have chosen to use a tunnel construction instead of the traditional cubist constructions that are prevalent in the area. In doing so, we have designed a very strong product that can handle large amounts of rainwater, which has been an increasing problem for a number of years, and Furthermore, we have chosen to create a system that is built up of modules, which gives our many different customers the opportunity to “design” the solution that best suits their project. Our tunnel solution consists of two modules - an end module and a middle module. A tunnel is thus composed of only two types of modules, where the end modules are used to start and end the tunnel, while the middle modules can be varied in number as needed. In this way, it is possible to adapt a tunnel to many different basic sizes and shapes, including series and parallel setups.
