Vágar Airport, the Faroe Islands' only airport, is preparing for a significant increase in visitor numbers, which will require an expansion of the airport's facilities. This has created new challenges in managing surface water from the large areas.
To ensure an effective solution to the problem, WaterCare, in close collaboration with the consulting engineering firm LBF, has supplied a bypass separator 20/200. In the first phase of the project, it has been installed to ensure optimal handling of surface water.
This solution is designed to accommodate the special weather conditions in the Faroe Islands and helps to future-proof the airport's infrastructure so that it can handle increasing traffic while maintaining the highest environmental standards.
