Novaskolen, a primary school located in Vejle, was facing a significant challenge with large amounts of roof and surface water on their outdoor areas. The school's existing drainage system could not handle the increasing water volumes, resulting in flooding and wear and tear on the outdoor areas.
To solve this problem, WaterCare provided a tailor-made solution with their Faskinetunnel, which has a capacity of 230 m³. The system was divided into three rows and placed under the school’s football field – an optimal solution, as this large, uninterrupted area could be used effectively for rainwater management. The Faskinetunnel is also designed to withstand heavy traffic, ensuring that the area can be used for sports and other activities without compromising on functionality.
With this solution, Novaskolen now has robust and future-proof rainwater management that protects both buildings and outdoor areas from flooding.
