Novaskolen seeps with Faskine tunnels

Novaskolen, a primary school located in Vejle, is affected by significant amounts of roof and surface water on their outdoor areas. To address this challenge, WaterCare supplied a 230 ^m3 Faskine tunnel, which was divided into three rows to accommodate the available area under the school’s football pitch.

A centralized solution for infiltration

By placing the Faskinetunnel modules under the school’s football pitch, the large, available area was utilized and the need for several separate rainwater collection areas around the school’s outdoor areas was avoided. WaterCare’s Faskinetunnel is also designed to withstand heavy traffic loads, meaning that there is no need to compromise on the use of the area, either now or in the future. Overall, it contributes to a more efficient and sustainable management of rainwater and surface water.

1. Many placement options :
WaterCare's Faskinetunnel offers many placement options with its flexible modular design that can be adapted to most areas. The Faskinetunnel was placed under the school's football field to take advantage of the large and accessible area. This allowed the school to avoid extensive excavation work in the schoolyard itself.

2. Quick installation :
The Faskine tunnel was installed quickly and easily by just two people, even in difficult weather conditions. The Faskine tunnel modules were lifted into place using a machine, and it was only necessary to assemble the modules down in the hole with the self-tapping screws at the overlap. This significantly reduced the working time during the installation. Here, by comparison, around 13,000 rainwater cassettes would have had to be assembled down in the hole to achieve the same volume.
Overall, this leads to less excavation and faster installation, resulting in a significant reduction in labor time and economic benefits!
