Green transition
WaterCare plays a crucial role in the green transition by actively contributing to solving the climate crisis through rainwater management and developing products that take care of our water environment and alleviate climate-related challenges. A central part of our initiatives lies in addressing climate-related challenges and creating sustainable solutions. An example of this is our dedication to minimizing the climate impact from our production.
To reduce electricity consumption in our production, we have entered into an agreement to use 100% renewable energy sources, where the factory in Assens, Southern Denmark, primarily receives its electricity from a nearby solar park, built by Assens Fjernvarme in 2021.
Henrik Rønnest, founder of WaterCare, emphasizes the importance of thinking more sustainably:
"I believe it is absolutely necessary for WaterCare to work to limit the climate impact from production. The shift to production based on electricity from renewable energy sources is a good step in the right direction."
